Additional History
Kitt’s 2018 release “Midnight in Macedonia” was recorded in Skopje, Macedonia with the Macedonian Orchestra and Choir. The album garnered numerous awards, his first million streams, and served as the impetus to his popular live shows.
A largely self-taught musician, Kitt started on horns in his young teens, but transitioned to keyboards and synthesizers. At 16, he had his first song on the major market radio stations in his home state of Oklahoma. This was the seed to many years of writing, recording, and touring. Although, he recorded several projects, he didn’t record his first solo album until “Cinematic Chaos” which was released in 2014. This is where began working with various orchestras and choirs in the US and eastern Europe.
Along with famed orchestras, Kitt is also known for featuring stellar artists, such as 15-time Grammy Award-nominated guitarist Joe Satriani, legendary guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Michael Jackson's beloved guitarist Orianthi, female sensation guitarist, Nita Strauss, world renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff, and many other notable musicians such as multi-Grammy winning flautist Wouter Kellerman.
About Kitt Wakeley
Kitt Wakeley is a Grammy® winning composer/producer/artist and 5 time #1 Billboard Charting musician, and known for selling out venues such as Carnegie Hall in NYC.
Although, he's a highly sought out producer for various genres, including dance, pop, rock, jazz-fusion, and Americana, his personal projects have brought him even higher acclaim as a composer for orchestral music that typically includes the London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic and famed studios such as Abbey Road in London, UK.
In 2023, Wakeley won his first Grammy® with his album "An Adoption Story", which is an album that explores his time in the foster care system and as an adoptive parent of three siblings. Produced by Starr Parodi and Jeff Fair, the three have teamed up for additional projects that have already hit the Billboard charts.
Kitt’s live performances are often billed as the Symphony of Sinners & Saints, which is based on his orchestral rock album Symphony of Sinners & Saints (Vol. 1) which was released in May 2021 by Studio Seven Media. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's “Classical Albums” and “Classical Crossover Albums” charts as well as at the upper reaches of numerous rock and hard rock singles charts. With Wakeley on synths and piano, the album featured Joe Satriani on two tracks as well as the talents of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Cliff Masterson (Little Mix, Kylie Minogue, Il Divo, Oasis), Grammy-nominated pianist Paul Loomis, guitarist Andy Timmons (Danger Danger, Pink), the London Voices choir and many more talented musicians.
Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm, Kitt’s upcoming orchestral rock album, will be released in 2023. The album includes the talents of guitar Joe Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Nita Strauss (Demi Lovato, Alice Cooper), Orianthi (Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora, RSO), Kenny Aronoff (John Cougar, Joe Satriani), the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Voices choir (Paul McCartney, Luciano Pavarotti, the Hunger Games series), the Macedonian Symphony Orchestra, and the Macedonian Choir. The album’s debut single “MVP” featuring Strauss and is available here.
